St. Lawrence County Arts Council Public Service Announcements

Under the direction of the executive director of the St. Lawrence County Arts Council in Potsdam, New York, I produced three public service announcements focused on promoting the arts within several northern New York State communities. The public service announcements received airtime on various cable systems and public access channels throughout St. Lawrence, Jefferson, and Franklin Counties. (Burlington-Plattsburgh and Watertown designated market areas)

Video scenes were selected from B roll footage shot in standard definition-format (480i) on MiniDV tape-based camera hardware. All footage was batch logged and edited in Adobe Premiere Pro non-linear software. Post-production special effects and motion graphics were designed and laid out in Adobe After Effects. After conducting local market research, copy was developed for use in voice-over narration.

The public service announcements were narrated by North Country Public Radio morning host Todd Moe.

Glens Falls, New York Marketing Campaign

As part of a briefing report assignment for COMM 210 (Theory for Rhetoric for Business) at Clarkson University, I developed a ficticious marketing and demographic study for The City of Glens Falls, including a television commercial, in an attempt to help attract new business, enhance tourism, as well as work to stem the continuing flight of younger, college-educated individuals out of the region.

The briefing report highlights the pending development of the GlobalFoundries (AMD) facility at the Luther Forest Tech Park in Malta, as well as Saratoga Springs-developer Bruce Levinsky and Merlin Development's attempt to revitalize historic buildings in the city's downtown district.

Ultimate TV Chair Promotion

As part of a group assignment for Principles of Marketing (MK 320) at Clarkson University, I developed a promotional strategy for a new conceptual product, "The Ultimate TV Chair," which was marketed to a young-adult demographic (21 to 40 years of age) as a budget-based alternative to existing chairs and recliners on retail market.
