Portsmouth




Originally settled in 1623 as Strawbery Banke, Portsmouth, New Hampshire is the third-oldest English settlement in the United States behind Plymouth and Jamestown. Directly to the south of Portsmouth is the Odiorne Point State Park in Rye, which at 331 acres is the largest undeveloped portion of New Hampshire's 16 mile coastline.
