Home to a wide array of eccletic restaurants and art galleries, Lark Street is the cornerstone of downtown Albany, the state capital of New York State. Every September, the Lark Street district hosts LarkFEST, the largest one-day street festival in New York State.
The home of the famous Saratoga Race Course and the Saratoga Performing Arts Center (SPAC), the revitalized downtown Saratoga Springs has become a retail mecca over the past several decades. Nearby, neighboring Malta will soon become home to the new GlobalFoundries chip fabrication plant, the largest technology manufacturing facility on the continental globe.
A mecca of art galleries, restaurants, pubs, and coffee shops, Beekman Street is the new epicenter of Saratoga Springs's West Side district. The rehabilitation of the Beekman Street neighborhood began in 2003 with the opening of the Beekman Street Bistro, which now serves as the anchor of the four-block long shopping district.
Infamously known as the "Home of the High Peaks," Keene is the location of Mount Marcy, the highest peak in New York State, as well as 15 of the 46 Adirondack High Peaks. The hamlets of Keene and Keene Valley are now home to a wide array of shops, anchored by The Mountaineer, the largest retailer of backcountry gear in the North Country region.
