Unofficially known as “The West Coast of New England,” Burlington, Vermont is the centerpiece of the two-state Champlain Valley region. For the past four decades, the historic Church Street Marketplace has been the core of Burlington’s downtown district with dozens of locally-owned shops, cafes and restaurants. In the early 2000s, the waterfront area was revitalized with the construction of the ECHO Lake Aquarium and Science Center, which currently houses 100 interactive science and nature exhibits.
