Luzerne Mountains

The Luzerne Mountains are nestled along the Upper Hudson River directly to the west of Glens Falls and Queensbury near Lake Luzerne in Warren County. Moreau Lake State Park was expanded northward to encompass substantial portions of the Luzerne Mountains after a land acquisition by the State of New York in the late 1990s. Perhaps the best known of the Luzerne Mountains is West Mountain, which is home to the ski center that bears its name.

Just outside of the park is the 83 acre Hudson Pointe Nature Preserve which offers trails that provide stunning views of both the Luzerne and Palmertown Mountains from the shores of the Upper Hudson River.
