The purpose of this mockup website for a fictitious yogurt chain in Upstate New York was to practice translating wireframes into a CMS setting. In addition, I also wanted to use this website to experiment with integrating the Bootstrap 5 CSS framework into WordPress. To start off this project, I created a series of medium-fidelity wireframes in WireframeSketcher (which has a built-in library of Bootstrap UI components). After completing the wireframes, I then selected the BootScore theme to construct the front-end interface of the site, largely because it is an empty boilerplate WordPress starter theme with full Bootstrap 5 integration. To lay out the Bootstrap components and grid system in the Gutenberg block editor, I chose the All Bootstrap Blocks plugin. For even further customization of the site, a child theme was created to house additional CSS and jQuery files, as well as some of the site’s imagery.
